Accessibility Statement
Accessibility Commitment
Last Updated: March 10, 2026
Hot Chocolate Design, LLC is committed to ensuring that our website, www.hotchocolatedesign.com, is accessible to all people, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to our products, content, and services — regardless of ability or the assistive technology they use.
Our Commitment
We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our website in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Our accessibility efforts include:
- Conducting an accessibility review of our website to identify and prioritize areas for improvement.
- Working with our development team to remediate accessibility barriers in our code and content.
- Installing accessibility tools to assist users with disabilities in navigating and interacting with our Site.
- Training our content team to produce accessible content, including meaningful image descriptions (alt text), clear heading structure, and readable text contrast.
- Scheduling periodic accessibility audits as we update and expand our Site.
Current Status
We are in the process of implementing WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across our website. While we have not yet completed a full accessibility audit, we are committed to this process and are actively taking steps toward full conformance. We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project.
Some areas of our website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. Known areas currently under review and improvement include:
- Image alt text across product pages and marketing banners
- Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements
- Color contrast across certain UI components
- Form input labels and error message clarity
- Focus indicator visibility throughout the checkout flow
Assistive Technology Support
Our goal is to support the following assistive technologies and browsing combinations:
- Screen readers: NVDA with Chrome (Windows), JAWS with Chrome (Windows), VoiceOver with Safari (macOS and iOS)
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Browser zoom and text resizing up to 200%
- Voice recognition software (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
- High contrast display modes

We encourage third-party providers to prioritize accessibility and will raise accessibility concerns with our partners where possible.

We will continue to invest in accessibility improvements as we grow, and we welcome our community's help in identifying barriers we may have missed.
